Hoda Kotb Reunites With Savannah Guthrie as She Continues Time Away From Today

Hoda Kotb shared a photo with her longtime friend Savannah Guthrie on Aug. 6, writing, “My favorite place… next to you,” as Guthrie continues a break from the Today show.

Guthrie has been away from the program while filming her upcoming Wordle game show, which is expected to air in 2027. During her time off, she has continued to speak publicly about the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who was abducted in February. No suspects have been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.

In a recent Instagram video, Guthrie made another emotional appeal for information, asking those responsible to reveal where her mother is. “Our family is in agony,” she said, urging anyone with knowledge of the case to help bring it to an end.

Guthrie previously returned to Today in April after taking time away following her mother's abduction. Hoda Kotb, who left the show in January 2025, briefly returned to co-anchor during Guthrie’s absence.
