Lindsey Buckingham Says Rift With Stevie Nicks Has Healed Ahead of Fleetwood Mac Documentary

Lindsey Buckingham says his longtime feud with Stevie Nicks has finally been put to rest as the former Fleetwood Mac bandmates reunite to work on the band's upcoming Apple TV documentary.

Speaking at Variety's Power of Young Hollywood event, Buckingham revealed that he and Nicks are now "talking all the time," describing the documentary as a healing experience for the entire band. He said the project helped resolve lingering tensions that remained after his departure from Fleetwood Mac in 2018.

Buckingham was dismissed from the band before its 2018 world tour, leading to a legal dispute and years of public disagreement with his former bandmates. In recent years, however, relations have improved. Last year, Buckingham and Nicks reunited to remaster and re-release their 1973 album Buckingham Nicks.

While Buckingham said he rarely revisits Fleetwood Mac's classic albums, preferring to focus on the future, he hinted that 2027—marking the 50th anniversary of the iconic Rumours album—will bring major announcements. The Fleetwood Mac documentary is expected to premiere on Apple TV early next year.
