Nicole Kidman Reveals Her Unusual “Freezer Spell” for Dealing With People

Nicole Kidman has revealed that she uses a simple “freezer spell” when she is upset with someone.

During a recent interview with Sandra Bullock for Sheer Luxe, Kidman’s niece, Lucia Hawley, said the women in their family have a strong interest in magic. Kidman said one of her favorite spells involves writing someone’s name down and putting it in the freezer.

When Bullock asked what the spell does, Kidman explained, “Freezes them out.” Hawley added that Kidman’s late mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, also kept a list of names in the freezer.

Kidman said the spell is not permanent and that a person can eventually be “let out.” Hawley joked that the person would know when that happened without being told.

Kidman and Bullock were discussing magic ahead of the release of “Practical Magic 2,” the sequel to their 1998 film about sisters with supernatural powers. The new movie follows the Owens family as they face another threat connected to their family curse.

“Practical Magic 2” is scheduled to hit theaters on Sept. 10.
