Paris Jackson Fires Back at Critic Who Calls Her Tattoos “Dirty”

Paris Jackson is brushing off criticism of her tattoos.

The singer and actress, 28, responded to an Instagram commenter who criticized her extensive collection of tattoos after E! News shared a post about Jackson meeting her mother for the first time.

“She is gorgeous, but those tattoos just make her look dirty and takes away from her look,” the commenter wrote.

Jackson replied with humor: “oh no what ever will i do 😰 (i’m dirty even without the tattoos).”

The commenter continued to criticize her tattoos, saying Jackson had “messed with perfection.” Jackson has more than 80 tattoos, many of which have personal meaning.

In a 2022 interview with PEOPLE, Jackson said her first tattoo was an alien design on her breast. She also revealed that she has tattooed herself.

One of her most recognizable tattoos is a chakra-inspired design running down the center of her chest, which she debuted in 2017. She also has “Applehead” tattooed on her left foot in memory of her late father, Michael Jackson. “Applehead” was a term of endearment used for the singer.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Jackson also tattooed a small squiggle below her right pinky toe.

Despite the criticism, Jackson has continued to embrace her tattoos as a form of personal expression.
