Scott Eastwood Recalls Heated On-Set Clash With Shia LaBeouf During Fury

Scott Eastwood has shared new details about a confrontation with Shia LaBeouf during the filming of the 2014 war movie Fury.

Speaking on the August 3 episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Eastwood said LaBeouf became upset over a scene in which Eastwood's character spit tobacco on a tank, even though it was written in the script. Eastwood said he confronted LaBeouf, and the argument was broken up by co-star Brad Pitt.

Eastwood described working with LaBeouf as difficult, calling him "clearly tormented." He said an actor’s approach to a role should not create an uncomfortable or hostile work environment for others on set.

The incident is not new. In a 2022 interview, Eastwood also described tensions with LaBeouf during the production of Fury. Brad Pitt previously acknowledged the disagreement in a 2014 interview, saying he had initially been upset with Eastwood before realizing he was simply following the script.

LaBeouf has faced several legal issues over the years, including arrests related to disorderly conduct and public intoxication, and has been ordered to complete rehabilitation and anger management programs in past cases.
