Combs was placed in solitary confinement after the altercation last month. TMZ reported that the dispute began after Combs felt disrespected by another inmate. The two men reportedly pushed each other before prison staff intervened.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to confirm details about Combs’ housing or any disciplinary action, citing privacy and security concerns.
Combs’ release date has changed several times during his sentence. His current projected release date is Feb. 20, 2028, according to Page Six. It had previously been moved up to Jan. 24 after the fight.
Combs is serving a four-year sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transporting people to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His sentence also included a $500,000 fine and required participation in mental health and substance abuse programs.
Combs appealed his sentence in December.
