Adam22, whose real name is Adam Grandmaison, announced the split Monday on his No Jumper podcast. The 42-year-old said he and Lena, 35, had been dealing with relationship problems and decided to put their marriage “on ice” for now.
“Will we end up back together? It’s certainly a possibility,” Adam said.
The couple has been together for about a decade. They began dating in 2016 and married in May 2023. They share a daughter, Parker, who is now 5.
Adam Says Family Life Became Unbalanced
Speaking openly about the breakup, Adam said he believes his work-heavy lifestyle played a major role in the problems between them.
He admitted that after they had their daughter in 2020, Lena took on most of the responsibilities at home and as a parent.
“Since we had our child, that, I think my extremely one-sided lifestyle of doing podcasts all day every day and not really making myself a terribly active participant in the family life is probably like the biggest factor,” he said.
Adam said Lena handled many of the day-to-day responsibilities, including household chores and buying clothes for their daughter.
He recalled one comment from Lena that made him realize how uneven things had become.
“At one point, she said, ‘You know, you feel like your responsibility in this relationship is to go to work and come back,’ and I couldn’t even say anything,” he said.
Adam acknowledged that he needs to find a better balance between his career and family life if the couple has a chance of getting back together.
“We’ve been together for 10, 11 years,” he said, adding that he had previously felt he was doing enough because he was not cheating or drinking.
Couple Will Continue Working Together
Adam also confirmed the separation on X, writing that he and Lena were “officially separated.”
“I hope we are able to work it out but for the time being we are taking a break,” he wrote.
Despite the split, the two plan to continue creating adult content together for now.
“Thank you for your respect for our privacy during this difficult time,” Adam added.
Divorce Filing Added to the Drama
The separation comes after an unusual series of events involving a divorce petition filed in Lena’s name earlier this year.
In June, a person using Lena’s name filed paperwork seeking a divorce from Adam. The petition requested primary legal and physical custody of their daughter and listed the couple’s separation date as April 15.
The filing also included details about the couple’s reported assets, including approximately $1.15 million in real estate.
Lena later said she had not filed for divorce and claimed that a stalker had been impersonating her.
She said she had been receiving rejected paperwork in the mail for months and had reported the alleged identity fraud to police.
Lena also claimed that the same person had previously made false domestic violence allegations that resulted in police conducting welfare checks at the couple’s home.
The situation became even more complicated in July, when Adam was served with divorce papers at the couple’s Studio City, California, home by the person Lena accused of impersonating her.
Lena again insisted that she had not filed the divorce petition, calling it the work of a “crazed fan.”
In August, Lena filed to dismiss the divorce case in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Now, despite the fact that the earlier divorce filing was allegedly fraudulent, Adam and Lena have confirmed that they are taking a real break from their relationship.
For now, the former couple says they are separated but has left the door open to a possible reconciliation.
