In an Instagram Stories update on Monday, August 31, Grande told fans she would wear comfortable footwear during her London performance because she was “bandaged up underneath” while recovering from the injury.
The singer clarified that the problem was not a sprain or muscle injury, but “just a deep cut.” She warned that fans might see her performing without her usual high heels and that she could have some difficulty putting weight on the affected foot.
Despite the injury, Grande said she had no plans to cancel her performances. “On with the show and i am on the mend!” she wrote, adding that she was looking forward to performing even if she was “a few inches shorter than usual.”
Grande is scheduled to conclude the Eternal Sunshine tour on September 1. Following the tour, she is expected to reduce her public appearances after months of scrutiny surrounding her health and appearance.
A representative previously told People that Grande plans to “take a step back from visibility” because of the “endless, ongoing public scrutiny” surrounding her. A source close to the singer has also said she is healthy and continues to perform at a high level despite the physical demands of her shows.
