Howard Stern Hands Howard 101 to Andy Cohen in SiriusXM Channel Shake-Up

Howard Stern is handing over one of his longtime SiriusXM channels to Andy Cohen as part of a major programming change.

Stern and Cohen announced Tuesday, Sept. 1, that Cohen’s Radio Andy lineup will move to Howard 101. Stern will continue hosting The Howard Stern Show on Howard 100.

During the announcement, Stern told Cohen he had one request for the channel: “Please continue the tradition of doing a lot of gay antics.” Cohen joked that Stern’s show was “gayer than mine,” prompting Stern to encourage him to “up the gay” on Radio Andy.

Stern also made clear that he was not giving up Howard 100. He told Cohen that Howard 101 was “in very capable hands” and warned him, “If you blow it, I will be the first one to laugh at you. Don’t screw it up.”

The move follows a prank the pair pulled in September 2025, when Cohen temporarily took over Howard 100 and renamed it “Andy 100.” Stern later revealed that he had masterminded the stunt.

With Radio Andy moving to Howard 101, Sebastian Maniscalco’s Comedy Radio will shift to Channel 102, SiriusXM said.

The channel changes come as Stern prepares to return for a new season. SiriusXM announced Monday that The Howard Stern Show will return Sept. 14.

Stern also has a new deal with HBO Max. Weekly filmed episodes of his SiriusXM show will begin streaming on the platform Sept. 17, with new episodes arriving Thursdays. The episodes will feature Stern’s celebrity and musician interviews, staff moments and conversations with Robin Quivers.

Stern said the HBO Max deal will allow viewers to see more of the show than the brief video clips previously available. HBO and HBO Max Content Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys called Stern “in a category of his own” and credited him with changing radio and media.
