Kelly Osbourne: “I Have So Many Reasons to Keep Going”

Kelly Osbourne has opened up about her struggles with grief, health and body shaming following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in 2025.

In an interview with Hello Magazine published Aug. 31, the 41-year-old said she struggled to cope after facing intense scrutiny over her appearance at the Brit Awards in February.

“I didn't navigate it—I wasn't well,” Kelly said. “How can you navigate something so cruel when you're so sick?”

Kelly said she is now making progress with the help of her family, therapist and wider support network. After moving back to the U.K. from Los Angeles, she said she is taking her recovery slowly.

“You've got to fix the head before you can fix the body,” she said. “It's a slow process. It's going to take me a minute.”

Kelly said therapy has helped her understand how experiences from her childhood have influenced her behavior. She described the process as getting to know herself in a healthier way.

Her 3-year-old son, Sidney, whom she shares with Slipknot musician Sid Wilson, has also been a major source of motivation.

“I have so many reasons to keep going,” she said. “I've got my baby boy, and he makes me the happiest person in the world.”

Kelly also credited friends and family for supporting her as she mourns Ozzy, the legendary Black Sabbath singer. She specifically praised longtime friend Melissa Rivers, whom she met while working with Joan Rivers on E!’s Fashion Police.

Kelly said grief has changed some of her relationships, noting that “you do lose a lot of friends” when mourning. However, she said those who remain are the people she knows she can truly rely on.

Meanwhile, the Osbourne family is continuing work on a biopic about Ozzy’s life, according to Kelly’s younger brother, Jack Osbourne.
