Jennifer Lawrence Opens Up About Botox, Cosmetic Procedures and Buccal Fat Removal

Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about the cosmetic treatments she uses—and the procedures she has considered but has not undergone.

The 36-year-old Silver Linings Playbook actress discussed her beauty routine and self-care habits in a recent conversation with Vogue. Lawrence said she dislikes spending time at salons, particularly getting her hair colored or having her nails done.

“I hate getting my hair colored. I also hate going to the nail salon,” Lawrence said, describing the experience as boring rather than relaxing. She added that she would prefer to have several beauty treatments done at once while she is already out and about.

Lawrence also revealed that she gets “baby Botox,” but said she prefers a subtle result that allows movement in her face.

“I need to have movement in my face—I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot,” she said. “If my skin is going to be a little saggier than I would like, at least it looks dewy and pretty.”

According to Cleveland Clinic, baby Botox uses smaller amounts of botulinum toxin than traditional Botox and is intended to soften facial lines and wrinkles while maintaining a more natural range of movement.

Lawrence also addressed facial fat procedures. She said she supports people who choose cosmetic treatments such as fat transfers, but remains unsure about undergoing them herself.

She specifically mentioned buccal fat removal, a surgical procedure that removes fat from the cheeks to create a more defined facial structure.

“I would love to have a buccal fat removal,” Lawrence said. “I can’t because everybody would know, but just know that I want that.”

Cleveland Clinic explains that buccal fat helps shape the face, and removing it can emphasize the cheekbones and create more hollowed areas between the cheeks and jawline.

Lawrence’s comments highlight her preference for subtle cosmetic maintenance while acknowledging procedures she may consider in the future.
